Jim Stilson

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Jim Stilson is CEO of California Theaming. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1986 with a BFA. As a young man he spent many years making leather and pottery in a family-owned Arts and Crafts business. As a child, he displayed an almost preternatural aptitude for design and fabrication. As a child he repaired neighborhood lawnmowers. At 18 years of age, Jim spearheaded the design and construction of a pottery factory with over 300 employees. During his stint at the pottery factory, he designed thousands of earthen prototypes. Searching for greater opportunity, Jim migrated to Los Angeles, and soon found himself working on movie vehicles, such as the Batmobile and the Knight Rider car. He also worked on a myriad of music videos, road shows, and commercials. While working in New York City on three very high-profile projects on 5th Avenue, Jim decided to open up his own company. With a respective skills in Business and Artistry, California Theaming was created. Located in Monrovia, a suburb of Los Angeles, California Theaming has become one of the leading providers of theming to the entertainment and amusement industries.

Jim helped establish the interior and exterior theming for Gameworks, Luxor, MGM Grand Casinos in Las Vegas, San Manuel Mission Indians Council Building in Redlands, CA, numerous floats.
